NEVEREVER Life has been good to London-born Thomas Murray (Charles Finch). His father in law, Arthur Trevane (James Fox) is one of the leaders of the banking sector and has taken him under his wing. Thomas enjoys the lifestyle of the wealthy and privileged, and is married to the beautiful, aristocratic Amanda (Jane March). Thomas is temporarily transferred to Paris, but Amanda refuses to follow him, clinging to her familiar London and her active social life. So Thomas goes off to work in the City of Lights, and the legendary magic of the world capital of romance works its bewitching effect. Thomas meets Katherine (Sandrine Bonnaire), a woman who turns his world upside down. Her natural beauty and free-spirited ways enchant him -- as if fate had meant for them to meet because it was written that they should fall in love.
