Hamsun Knut Hamsun era considerado el más eminente ciudadano noruego del siglo xx. En el 1920 ganó el premio Nobel de literatura, su novela Hunger es considerada un clásico. Ghita Norby como Marie Hamsun está extraoordinaria pero max Von Sydow nos brinda la más impresionante y poderosa actuación de su carrera. A sus 67 años el gran actor sueco todavía nos sorprende con su plasticidad, control y tacto. Sydow se transforma en Hamsun, en una actuación inmortal. El exquisito cineasta Jan Troell regresa triunfalmente a la pantalla con su mejor película desde su maravilloso diptyco: Los Emigrantes y La Nueva Tierra. Hamsun Knut Hamsun was considered de most eminent Norwegian Citizen of the Twentieth Century. In 1920 he won de Nobel Prize in Literature, his novel Hunger is considered a classic. His reputation suffered a fall during Second World War when the headstrong old man, an almost deaf writer, supported the Nazis during their Norwegian invasion and even urged the young people of the Resistance to give up their weapons. Hamsun and his wife were called traitors. After the war, she was put in jail and Hamsun was judged but never went to prison. He died in 1952. The controversial theme of Hamsun's betrayal to his country is the backdrop of this violent domestic drama of the writer and his wife. The devastating tie that unites this couple is the heart of the film. Ghita Norby as Marie Hamsun is extraordinary but it is Max Von Sydow who renders the most impressive and powerful acting of his career. At 67 years old, the great Swedish actor still surprises us with his flexibility, control and tact. Sydow transforms himself in Hamsun in an immortal performance. The exquisite filmmaker Jan Troell returns triumphantly with his best movie since The Emigrants and The New Land. Jan Troell Uno de los pocos directores suecos, junto a Bo Widenberg, capaces de escapar la monumental sombra de Ingmar Bergman. Nació en 1931, maestro de escuela, amante del cine. Hace su debut con Here Is Your Life (1966). Ganó la aclamación crítica internacional con sus épicos The Emigrants (1971) y The New Land (1972) ambas protagonizadas por Liv Ullman Y Max Von Sydow. The Flight Of The Eagle (1982) es otra de sus obras maestras tambien protagonizada por Sydow. Es tambien un gran director de fotografía y un excelente guionista. |
Jan Troell One if the few Swedish directors, along with Bo Widenberg, able to escape the monumental shadow of Ingmar Bergman. Born in 1931, school teacher, film lover. Made his debut with Here Is Your Life (1966). He won the international critics acclaim with his epics The Emigrants (1971) and The New Land (1972) both starring Liv Ullman and Max Von Sydow. The Flight Of The Eagle (1982) is another of his masterpieces where Sydow is the protagonist. He is also Director of Photography and an excellent screenwriter. |
